Voluntary Water Use Reductions - How to Help

Town of Pictou – Voluntary Water Use Reductions

Because of the current dry weather and forecasted conditions, the Town of Pictou is asking residents to voluntarily reduce their water use. These measures will be in place every day until further notice.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Only water lawns or gardens between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
  • Please avoid filling or topping up swimming pools
  • Avoid washing vehicles at home

Right now, our well water levels are still at normal levels, but we want to stay ahead of any possible water shortages. Thanks for doing your part to help.

For more information on other ways to save water and save costs, view this document pdf HERE(90 KB) .
