The Mayor and four Councillors represent the residents of the Town of Pictou as the governing and legislative body for the community.

Pictou Town Council meets on the first (Committee of Council) and third (Regular Council) Monday of each month with the exception of Statutory Holidays. Council meetings are held at the CN Station, 71 Front Street, Pictou, and are open to the public. Special Meetings of Council and Public Hearings may be held at other times and are advertised on our website and in the Pictou Advocate.
