The Pictou County Regional Enterprise Network (PCREN) is a not-for-profit organization tasked with driving economic development in Pictou County. The PCREN is one of seven Regional Enterprise Networks (RENs) in Nova Scotia which are funded both provincially and municipally.  Through a partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia, the six municipal units in Pictou County and Pictou Landing First Nation, the PCREN initiates, leads and contributes to sustainable economic growth in Pictou County by fostering a culture of collaboration, navigating organizations to the resources they need, and engaging in meaningful economic development projects.

The PCREN focuses its work in five strategic priorities: Business Retention and Expansion (BRE), Workforce Development, Business Navigation and Connections, Economic Innovation and Regional Branding and Business Attraction. With a focus on these priorities, the PCREN works towards creating an engaged community where people, organizations, and community partners work collaboratively to drive a thriving and sustainable local economy.

The Pictou County REN is the lead agency for economic development in Pictou County. The REN is governed by a Board of Directors made up of business and community leaders.
