The Town of Pictou is currently accepting applications for its partial residential property tax exemption program.

Applications may be submitted until December 22, 2026 using forms provided by the Town.  Application forms are available online at   pdf 2026-27 Property Tax Exemption Application - Town of Pictou(195 KB)  or can be picked up at the Town Office at:

Eligible homeowners may receive a partial exemption of up to $495 if:

• They are the owner and principal resident of the home
• The combined income of all household residents over age 18 was less than $30,960 for 2025
• Their 2025 property taxes have been paid in full
