Test results received today for Pictou Harbour, from Brown’s Point to the former Golf Course Hill, indicate that water quality is now at acceptable levels for recreational activities, including swimming.

Water testing at the two beaches showed decreased bacteria levels, now within the acceptable limits established by the Department of Environment and Climate Change.

The Town remains committed to public safety and will continue its regular water monitoring program to help ensure safe and enjoyable use of our waterfront.
